Resources West Inc. is once again offering a program for individuals interested in starting their own businesses. The Small Business Program is designed to assist both individuals interested in developing their ideas into business start ups and business owners who are looking to build on their past success for continued growth.
Resources West has been offering this program free of charge to residents of Western PEI since 2001 and has had strong participation from area Entrepreneurs. During this time the program has evolved to become what today can best be described as experience learning, where participants help each other through discussion of individual experiences and problem solving while building life long business networks with like minded individuals.
This 10 module program takes place three times a week allowing time for participants to perform research, identify market opportunities and challenges and prepare business plans which will enable them to make sound decisions and take action at the completion of the three week stint.
The program includes interactive morning sessions on; entrepreneurship, business planning, marketing, social media marketing, customer service, human resource management, communications, accounting, wordpress website development, legal and financing & support. Generally the sessions average three hours in length with the ability to meet later with the small business officer for additional one on one support.
The next small business program will begin April 26th, to register or to learn more about the program and how it may assist you contact the small business officer David Gamble by April 22nd at (902) 853-4555 or davidg@resourceswest.pe.ca.
