Celebration Night Well Attended

This year our YMP Celebration Night was held at the Rodd Mill River resort on August 30, 2012.   Close to 100 participants, family members, sponsors and officials were in attendance.

Upon arrival, guests mingled and enjoyed pizza.  Treats were provided by three of the YMP participants; Mariah Murphy, Olivia Batten and Grainnë Gilks. Mariah provided cupcakes and “Want Some Lemonade” (Olivia and Grainnë) provided drinks.

The evening’s Master of Ceremonies was YMP coordinator Taylore Matheson.  David Gamble spoke on behalf of Resources West.  Inc.  Ernie Hudson spoke on behalf of the Honorable Gail Shea representing funding partner ACOA, and MLA, Pat Murphy, spoke on behalf of funding partner The Department of Innovation and Advanced Learning.

All participants have presented a brief speech about their summer accomplishments and experiences within the program which entertained and informed the audience.  Following the speeches the participants were presented with a program certificate and then rushed off to the Aquaplex  to continue the fun swimming.

Resources west would like to thank all the participants and their supporting families for another great summer of Entrepreneurship and learning.   Check back in early October for an announcement on our YMP participant of the year.
