Resources West Inc. is a regional economic development organization tasked with stimulating the economy of Western P.E.I. In order to complete its mission, Resources West is involved in the following activities:
- Entrepreneurial development and training
- Community planning and support
- Project management
- Business consultation and support
- Research and development
Resources West is governed by representatives of the five community development areas of Tyne Valley; Tignish; St. Louis-Miminegash; Alberton; and O'Leary. The organization also has representation from Business, Agriculture, Tourism and Fisheries sectors.
Mission Statement:
"To actively promote and foster sustainable growth, economic prosperity and development in Western PEI by providing a unique, value added service to business, residents and targeted clients."
